What's better than watching firetwirling?
performing firetwirling!

What's better than performing firetwirling?
getting paid for it!

What's better than getting paid for it?
a pet Llama!

And everyone knows that the only thing better than that is listening to me pontificate about fire performance galleries..

Fireshows: Light, Heat & Movement

Melbourne has enough interested promoters to sustain a firetwirling as a viable means to make any event that much more spectacular.
Though complicated by constantly rising insurance premiums and special safety requirements, this art form is constantly
spreading it's influence through shows such as the ones showcased in this gallery.
Firedancing will always add a giant can of mad energy to any night!! If you would like me to perform, please don't hesitate to email me at . :)

Unlike their outdoors counterparts, indoor gigs allow for a much narrower margin for error, especially with a crowd this tightly spaced.

This particular gig involved twirling under a low ceiling within a clearance of about 3 metres - hence, staff throws were low and acrobatics needed to be precise.

Footage of this fire gig is featured on Circles of Light 3. It was fun & sweaty :)

The still frames to the side of this section are of the lovely Earthdreamer, the other performer at this fire gig.

There is always a slinky spirit to all of her twirling.

She managed to overcome the heat, crowded conditions and quite possibly my flatulence (j/k of course!) to firedance magically to the djembe drums!

Shortly before the gig, she made sure we both shook off as much excess fuel (firewater) as possible so as not to give off too much heat during the performance.
Still, there was quite another kind of heat given off during the show. Fire shows are exciting!
